Waldorf Education

"The aim of Waldorf schooling is to educate the whole child, "head, heart and hands". The curriculum is as broad as time will allow, and balances academics subjects with artistic and practical activities." As a Waldorf-inspired school we focus on cultivating an environment that creates a "love of learning" for each child. Waldorf education encourages creativity and imagination and is very child-driven.

LifeWays Early Childhood Programs

"LifeWays Early Childhood Programs are based upon the fundamental need for relationship-based care and the recognition of living arts (domestic, nurturing, creative and social arts) as central to the advancement of children’s social, emotional and intellectual skills."Activities found in the LifeWays Program and included in our school's curriculum are gardening, building, cooking, cleaning, and sewing. LifeWays Programs encourages children to be outside in all but the most inclement of weather to encourage a stong bond with the environment.

Peace Education

Peace education encourages the emotional, intellectual, ethical and social growth of children. Conflict is a natural, unavoidable phenomenon that can be a constructive opportunity for positive change and empowerment. Peace Education teaches children the skills they need to find creative and constructive ways to settle conflicts before they escalate into violence. Children learn best in a caring environment where their self-esteem is nurtured as they are challenged to become responsible decision makers.
